SUMMARY:Santa Camp – A School for Santa\, Mrs. Claus & the Elves 2026
DESCRIPTION:Santa Camp – A School for Santa\, Mrs. Claus & the Elves\, is offered by New England Santa Society and taught by a team of its members. The event will run Friday noon to Sunday afternoon. The program is open to anyone 21 years old and over who portrays or is interested in becoming Santa Claus\, Mrs. Claus\, an elf\, or other Christmas character.   \nSanta Camp has education as the main focus\, but additional group and individual activities contribute to a unique\, memorable weekend of learning\, camaraderie\, and fun. Recapture your youthful joy with a trip to summer camp — without the tents\, campfire meals\, and rustic facilities. The conference center provides hotel-like rooms\, full meal service and modern amenities. \nAny revenue earned supports New England Santa Society programs and activities. Santa Camp staff are all volunteers. \nMore details are available at the Santa Camp section of this website. \n2026 Santa Camp Offerings\nSanta Camp 2026 offers four separate courses. Attendees choose one of the four. Detailed descriptions are available on the NESS Website. \nPreparing for the Sleigh (Comprehensive Course): This extensive course is for the new and experienced Santa\, Mrs. Claus and helpers. It covers everything from creating the character\, performance techniques\, marketing your services and much more. \nMrs. Claus and Helpers Program (Advanced): A full weekend program of lessons & activities for Mrs. Claus and helpers. The lessons will explore ways Mrs. Claus and others can operate as independent performers as well as with a partner. In addition to developing new skills\, the group will share ideas and projects. \nMarketing for the Clauses (Advanced Workshop): This hands-on seminar will focus on promoting Santa’s and Mrs. Claus’ activities and businesses. Participants will create and/or update various elements of their marketing plan and promotional materials. \nPerformance for the Clauses (Advanced Workshop): Practice\, refine\, and perfect your performance as Santa\, Mrs. Claus\, or a Claus Couple. Think of performance in the broadest sense: how can you improve all aspects of your Claus appearances including connecting with guests\, creating better photos\, and enhancing the whole experience. In addition to learning new skills and talents\, participants will share their favorite techniques\, props\, tools\, and ideas for various events. \nMore details are available at the Santa Camp section of this website. \nALL INCLUSIVE PACKAGE\nThe program fee includes all seven meals (Friday lunch to Sunday lunch)\, two nights lodging and program fees and materials. \nCouples are welcome to attend. A “companion” option is offered to cover lodging\, meals\, use of the facilities and group social activities. It does not include attendance of classes\, workshop materials\, giveaways\, or certificates. \nTo reserve your spot\, a $175 deposit is required per person. SUMMARY:Coping with the End of the Christmas Season - Zoom
DESCRIPTION:For the last two months\, it’s been go-go-go; Ho Ho Ho. We’ve been the center of attention. The subject of adoring eyes. The source of good cheer\, moving memories\, unbounded wonder\, and unquestioning belief. Santa & Mrs. Claus bask in the love\, excitement\, joy\, and pleasure that comes with the job. Then Christmas comes and all that abruptly ends. \nThe end of the Christmas season can bring on many emotions: relief\, joy\, satisfaction\, exhaustion\, sadness\, anxiety\, illness\, and even depression. Learning how to deal with them make the abrupt end a softer landing. \nMarriage & Family Counselor Dave Wayman will lead a discussion on the impact of the season’s end and how to recognize and cope with various tiggers\, emotions and situations that can occur. Strategies for reducing the negative emotions and reactions will be discussed. \nThere will be an open discussion on how you respond to the end of the season and actions that help you get through. \nMr. Wyman\, with a private practice in Salem\, NH\, has many years experience doing what he loves: helping folks. \nThe presentation will begin at 7:00 pm although the Zoom will be open at 6:30 pm for those who just want to socialize before the presentation. \nThe event is open free to all holiday performers but registration is required here: \nhttps://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/pvIAfdcnTbudH90SLCUZOw \nAfter registering\, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
