This session is designed to help adults better understand how to connect and interact with children with diverse abilities during holiday events. By providing practical, positive, welcoming, compassionate strategies for interacting with children with autism and other disabilities.  Thereby, helping every child feel seen, understood, and included during their visit with Santa. The presentation focuses on communication, connection, and creating positive experiences for every child.

Deb Lambert will be the presenter for this training. Here is a little about Deb Lambert. She is a special educator in New Hampshire public schools with extensive experience supporting students with a wide range of disabilities and behavioral needs. Throughout her career, she has worked with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Down syndrome, emotional disabilities, significant behavioral challenges, and other developmental and learning differences. While she has experience working with students of all ages, the majority of her career has focused on elementary-aged children. Deb has completed extensive professional training in evidence-based, trauma-informed, and disability-supportive practices, including Lives in the Balance with Dr. Ross Greene, Trauma-Informed Care training with Dr. Alison Roy, and numerous graduate and professional development courses in child and adolescent development, exceptional learners, by and educating students with disabilities. She has also completed Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification and regularly engages in continuing education to remain current with best practices in special education.
