Santa Camp – A School for Santa, Mrs. Claus & the Elves, is offered by the New England Santa Academy and is taught by New England Santa Society members. The event will run Friday noon to Sunday afternoon. The program is open to anyone 21 years old and over who portrays or is interested in becoming Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, an elf or other Christmas character.
Educational Program
Attendees to Santa Camp choose one of four educational programs offered. The first three below are offered every year. Four different Advanced Classes are rotated each year. Each program includes ten blocks totaling 15 hours of class/workshop time, course workbook, and additional materials.
Santa Camp 2025 offers four separate educational tracks each year:
Preparing for the Sleigh (Comprehensive Course): This extensive course is for the new and experienced Santa and Mrs. Claus. It covers everything from creating the character, performance techniques, marketing your services and much more.
Mrs. Claus and Helpers Program (Advanced): A full weekend program of lessons & activities for Mrs. Claus and helpers. The lessons will explore ways Mrs. Claus and others can operate as independent performers as well as with a partner. In addition to developing new skills, the group will share ideas and projects.
Performance for the Clauses (Advanced Workshop): Practice, refine, and perfect your performance as Santa, Mrs. Claus, or a Claus Couple. In addition to learning new skills and talents, participants will share their favorite techniques, props, tools, and performances for various events.
North Pole Stories (Advanced Class): This year’s advanced seminar will focus on strategies for strong story reading and telling for all types of settings. This will be a chance to share favorite stories and create new ones.
